I've always had them on, but today i thought about how annoying some mechanics are (as much as they are for the sake of realism), especifically, speed limits. I can't force my truck to keep a speed of 80km/h in a huge 3 lane highway when it's begging to go at 90 ish, and that 80km/h speed limit is almost a standard across the whole map, except
It's not arbitrary, 90 km/h it's the limit that European Trucks are locked into irl. But there are regions where both IRL and in the game the truck speed limit is 100 but the WoT limit is still 90. Also, IRL drivers can speed, but not in WoT. Apparently in the distant past there was a reason, now its just an artifact of when that was the case.
Go to My Documents> Euro Truck Simulator 2> profiles> choose your profile (usually a set of characters, not the name)> config.cfg. Open config.cfg notepad or any text program (except Microsoft Word)> find the line: uset g_use_speed_limiter "1" The value "1" at the end, change to "0". Save. Done! To return the truck speed limit - put back to 1.
