I'm at my wit's end so welcome all serious suggestions. For the past 4 months I've been getting the dreaded ASR, Alternator, loose connection fault in my 2003 Stilo 16v 1.6. So far I have: -Replaced the ECU with a new one -Checked all Earths -Checked battery voltage and alternator charge

Mar 26, 2017. #2. Hi, Welcome to the FF. The 1.8 engine temperature sensor has a 4 pin connector, but only 3 of them are populated. Referring to the diagram below, A1 = Empty, A2 = Red/black. B1 = White, B2 = Orange. Test the resistance of the sensor between pins B1 and B2 with the engine hot and cold. .

Davren said: Only the diesel engines have an oil level sensor, so if this is about the 1.6 petrol engine you've posted about previously, it doesn't have one. Assuming you're referring to the oil pressure warning light, that only comes on when the oil pressure is low.
