3rd person for walking around, 1st & 3rd for flying, 1st for derelict freighters. 3rd, then 1st while in the ship for planet charts! 3rd person for everything but base building, then I switch to 1st. I’ve always used 3rd person but when Desolation dropped, I started using 1st person to run derelict freighters.
1st person for everything, I just find it easier. Like u/MatadorNMS, first for flying and third for walking. Third person can make for the best screenshots when on land, and first person lets you see marked destinations, planets and fuel left in the pulse engine. 3rd person on foot and 1st person when I'm flying.
